I don't think I will be bringing my children.  Not that I wouldn't love to show them off and I'm sure they'd have a great time but I'm sure I'll be too busy getting everything together.  And I think I'm going to make it a whole weekend get-away at the hotel.  Especially since I'll have to probably be there early on Saturday to get things set up.  ~Tammy

Hey there Everyone!  I really hope that everyone from the Class of 87 plans on attending our reunion.  I personally know that the reunion committee has put alot of hard work into this reunion.  The committe has done this for all of us, so let's come back to the place we will always call home.  Go Vikings!

The deadline to purchase tickets is July 31st.  We need a final headcount and payments by this date.  If for some reason you absolutely can not make this date, please let me know and we will try to work something out.  We need to let the banquet facility know the number and they also want to get paid.

Classmates...Vanda has made arrangements for us to have a place to continue our get together after the football game. The House of Shamrocks (owner, Mike Wilds) has graciously offered to host a post football get together. They have given us the use of their patio and a DJ. You will be responsible for your own drinks on Friday night. The House of Shamrocks is located on John R. between 9 mile and Woodward Heights.

If anyone wants to email me with there flight times I can coordinate picking up several people at a time. If anyone can help out send me your contact info and we can work together to minimize waisted trips.

Hey everyone - Want to help support the future Hazel Park High football players and cheer team?  Then come to Big Boy in Warren on Monday, September 10th.  (24500 Ryan Rd & 10 MI).  The Big Boy is donating 10% of the sale and tip collected from 4 PM to close to the Hazel Park Raiders.  The JV and Varsity cheer team will be there to play hostees/bus gals/waitress.  If you can make it come and support the future Hazel Park High School Viking football players and cheer team.  Hey maybe even I will be your waitress.  Lisa Hankins

I would just like to say that this Reunion was great! I didn't expect to have so much fun! Tammy and the Reunion Committee did an awesome job! It is as if NO time had passed and everyone just connected. My kids got a big kick out of the DVD. It brought back so many memories, some I didn't even know I had! Everyone looked great! I must say that we have a pretty great looking class! I love everyone and hope and pray for your continued success and happiness. If anyone is going out as a group please let the rest of us know! I would hate for 10 more years to pass by! Sorry, I missed Mr. Reimer (saw his picture at the after party). Anyways.....looking forward to the next one.....Ann

I too want to thank Tammy Mathy, Dorene Strange, Vanda Richesin, Shelly Cadieux, Tracey Hill, Tammy Curtis, Chris Tuttle, Sheila Miller and Dave Norton (sorry if I missed anyone) for a great time.  OMG! I had so much fun and it was so good to see everyone.  I agree, everyone looked amazing.  I wish I could have stayed for the after-party, especially after seeing all the photos!  Thanks again to the reunion committee and kudos to you all!   I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2012!  Desiree D'Amico-Rasmussen

Sorry it's taken me a while to post...but I wanted to let you all know that I appreciate all the nice things that you've said about the reunion and I am so glad that everyone had such a good time. It definately makes all of the hard work well worth it when I know that everyone enjoyed themselves. It's also nice to see more of our classmates signing up on the website, sorry you guys couldn't make it. Hopefully you'll be there for the 25th!! Keep checking back, posting messages and photes and keep in touch. I paid to keep the website going and to upgrade to a premier site. Please notice that there is a place to buy a sponsor box. This is a great opportunity to advertise your business or to post a note to your classmates. The funds that are raised for the sponsor box will help to defer any future costs to keep the website going. Please pass the word to anyone you know that may want to post their business or just help the Class of 1987. We may also add a donation tab. The donation tab will be an opportunity for classmates to donate to the expense of getting our next reunion going. The costs can be expensive to get a reunion started and we didn't have much money left over after this reunion. We decided as a committee that we wanted to have some nice things at the reunion to pass out to everyone like the memory book, the DVD and the beer koozies. At some point and time there will also be a survey posted so that we can collect information from you all about any suggestions that you may have for our next reunion. Seriously though I had a great time.  It was so good to see everyone.  Next year I'm not so sure about the party before the party (kidding of course), I think it pooped some people into missing the party after the actual reunion.  I know we're getting old, but come on!  You guys you missed BK burgers and fries at 3 a.m. (Thanks to Billy Houghton who paid for them all)...

Since our classes were so close and so many of us hung out with them...I thought I'd let you know about the Class of 88's website.  They have almost the same URL as ours, it is www.hphs1988.classquest.com.  And remember to keep the weekend of their reunion free, we plan on "crashing" their Friday night get-together, and heck, maybe even the reunion.  Wouldn't that be fun!!  ~Tammy

Thought I'd post a message to see if we can get the message boards going with some activity. Just because the reunion is over, doesn't mean we all can't keep in touch. Please take advantage of the website to keep us posted on any exciting news. Also, please consider purchasing a sponsor box, they are only $25 for a silver membership; $50 for a gold membership; or $100 for a platinum membership. It's a great way to advertise a business or to just post a note to classmates. We could really use the funds to keep this website up and running. The cost of the website is $90 a year and is currently being funded by personal funds.

Just a quick note to let you guys know that there are several of us that are planning on "crashing" the Class of 1988's party on Friday, September 26. It is being held at the Black Lotus Brewery in Clawson. I believe the time is 7:30. It is on the corner of 14 Mile and Main. Hope to see you there.
